Remember, you have limited time for these conversations, so being intentional with where you direct the discussions will be helpful for everyone involved. If you do nothing else to prepare for parent teacher conferences – at least do the initial parent form. The best thing I did to help myself feel at peace on conference night was to send home a form to the parents of my students about a week before the conferences were scheduled. In fact, it went well!
